# What kind of app?

The IrrigationCheckups.com application (app) is technically a web application. This means that it runs using the web browser of your choice on the device of your choice as long as you have an internet connection.

What this means:

1. The application is cloud based, there is no software to download and install.
2. Your data gets stored in the cloud, meaning it's always available as long as you have an internet connection, regardless of what device you have in front of you.
3. The application can be updated in real-time, so no running of an old version potentially missing functionality or bug fixes.
4. Your access to the application is based on your subscription, which is tied to your email address for login.

What you cannot do with the app:

1. You will not find the app in an 'app store'.
2. The app will not work if you do not have an internet connection.
3. Not all browsers have been tested. The app will reliably work using Chrome (Android/iOS/Windows), Safari, and Edge and is regularly tested using these browsers.
4. Cookie and script blocking will produce errors.
5. Sharing of your login information is against the terms of service.
