# Creating new checkup

* **Log in to app and click 'New Checkup' button**
  * This can done from the top navigation menu or from the client detail page.
* **Choose an existing client or setup a new client**
  * **If new client:**
    * Choose between residential or commercial account.
      * Enter account number, client name, address, phone number, email, and any notes.
      * Assign a price book.
* **Enter Checkup details**
  * Verify client and site selections.
  * Optionally, select report reason  (e.g., repair visit).
  * Choose a report template for the checkup type.
* **Entering Checkup Details**
  * Start time tracking, if enabled for template settings.
  * Add checkup notes and internal notes.
  * Edit the checkup status and checkup reason if needed.
* **System Information and Backflow Device**
  * Note system details and any issues.
  * Use 'Add Backflow' button to add backflow device(s) information, including type and location if not already defined for the site.
* **Controller Setup**
  * Use 'Add Controller' button to add details about the controller(s), including location, manufacturer, and features to the site if one is not already defined.
  * Note any issues or observations about the controller.
* **Zone Descriptions and Programming**
  * Describe each zone, its watering specifics, and any repairs needed.
  * Set up watering programs and schedules for each zone.
* **Zone Repairs and Photos**
  * Identify repairs needed for each zone.
  * Add photos of issues, if necessary.
  * Add estimate(s) of repairs if needed.
* **Generating Reports**
  * Create a PDF report with all recorded information.
  * Review the report, make any final edits, and optionally download.
* **Completing the Checkup**
  * Change the job status to reflect completion.
  * Generate a final PDF with the client's signature, if needed.
* **Finalizing and Sending Reports**
  * Review the final report and parts list.
  * Send the report to the client and update the job status accordingly.
