# Price Books

### Setting Up Your Product List and Price Book for Detailed Quotes

#### 1. Introduction

* Purpose of the video: Walkthrough on setting up a product list and price book for creating detailed quotes.

#### 2. Accessing Account Settings

* Log in to your account.
* Navigate to "My Account Settings" via the tile or the navigation bar.

#### 3. Adding Products

* Go to the "Products" section.
* Recommended device: Desktop or tablet in landscape mode.
* Existing item: Labor (already added).
* To add a new product:
  * Click the "Add Item" button.
  * Example: Add a "4 inch pop up spray head."
  * Fill in details:
    * Description: e.g., "Standard."
    * SKU: (12 integer format for inventory/accounting).
    * Category: Assign for easier filtering.
    * Sufficiency item checkbox: Helps with filtering during quotes.
* Click "Add" to save the product to the list.

#### 4. Setting Up Price Books

* Navigate to "Price Books."
* Note: Trial users can only have one price book; paid subscribers can add more.
* Edit the existing price book:
  * Click "Edit" on the standard price book.
  * Add the new product:
    * Click "Add Item."
    * Select the product(s) to add.
    * Click "Add Selected to Price Book."
* Set the default price:
  * Click "Edit" next to the product.
  * Enter a price (e.g., $35).
  * Ensure the product is marked as "Active."
  * Allow Override checkbox: Check if you want team members to adjust prices in the field.
* Click "Update" to save changes.

#### 5. Finalizing Setup

* Return to "My Account."
* Go to "Report Templates."
* Ensure the following options are checked:
  * "Use Repair Estimates."
  * "Use Price Books."
* This ensures detailed quotes can be generated from checkups.

#### Price Book features:

1. Archive: you can archive a price book to remove it from the list of price books available to assign when creating a new client account. Any quotes that have already been created using the price book are uneffected by archiving.

2. Download: use the download button to automatically export the price book in csv format. This file can then be used to bulk update the details of each price book entry of the price book.
3. Bulk Update: follow the instructions that open after clicking the 'Bulk Update' button to import a csv file with changes to the price book entries of the price book.

4. Click the table column header to sort the price book table. Click it again to change the sort order. Use the filter icon,<img src="/files/BxkgYmaezy6zWfRXx7O3" alt="" data-size="line"> , to filter each column.
5. Table Options column:
   1. Edit the price book item to change price, status, override option, and tax status: <img src="/files/hEH2IUqmBBECo2qqiltx" alt="" data-size="line">
